For the past 4 years, I worked for and became a business partner at The Sill, a modern luxury retail brand based out of New York City. As the first design and tech hire, I helped The Sill grow from a lifestyle brand with curated products, into a complete ecommerce, and retail experience, featuring exclusive products and content.


By overhauling the brand strategy and executing new social content and retail experiences, we were able to create brand marketing partnerships with Outdoor Voices, Refinery29, S'well, Opening Ceremony, Kate Spade, as well as co-branded events for Away, and Harry's. We also created marketing events in the form of team training for Spotify, Warby Parker, and private media events at our retail location.


Prior to plants, I was an agency side copywriter. My first agency work was creating early digital and social creative for AT&T, and Emirates Airlines at BBDO NY. This was followed by three years of digital marketing for financial services and liquor brands, including the Chase Sapphire card launch. Sony Music’s in-house creative group then brought me in to help get finance, retail and artist brands to embrace apps, email and product development.


I’ve had a lifelong obsession with retail after growing up on a family farm and selling produce at wholesale markets and farmers markets. But due to outdoor allergies, I hit the computer lab pretty hard in college and here we are. Along the way while working at a bootstrapped business, I also picked up some operational, logistics, and creative operations skills.


Outside of all that, I drank the Shopify kool-aid in 2011 and continue to work on this platform from customization and development to operations.
